Have started planning our trip for this winter (Summer in America) to do the Trans America Trail. It is a big plan and lots of questions to ask on which way to go about it. Do we ship our bikes, do we buy bikes there, which bikes to use, who's maps do we follow, where do we fly to, we want to do coast to coast, which town to start in, how long will it take Lots of reading on the internet, other peoples blogs, other peoples videos, and it all starts coming together.
We have decided that we will buy bikes over there, on the east coast, maybe in Norfolk, Virginia, then we can start riding at the coast and do Coast to Coast. Its looking like we will be looking at Yamaha WR250R,s. I have one here and I would be happy with that. Scott was looking at the DRZ400, but I think I would be happier with the smaller bike.
